Egan beat Neshaminy in a closely contested 3 game Championship Series 2-1 that first year. Egan won the first game 7-4, Neshaminy the second 7-4, and Egan took the Championship, it's first of eleven through 1999, with a 3-2 victory.
The leagues leading scores that first year where: Pat Tonrey of Egan, Greg Cordlingly of Neshaminy, Bill Berry of Egan, John Shetzline of Bensalem, and Dean Shemansky of Pennsbury.
The leagues' current members owe a debt of gratitude to the people who pioneered and made this league possible. Our deepest thanks to people such as James Cunningham, Paul Saylor, Chuck Worthington, Steven Ryan, Mr. Faben, Larry Clay, Stan Kornecki and all the others who served High School Hockey so well, and so long, to the benefit of so many.
